For your consideration is a solid black (N2) opal from Lightning Ridge, Australia. It features brilliant (4.5/5) electric green and royal blue in a somewhat directional pattern that verges on FISHSCALE! The buff-top, oval cut gem weighs 5.4 carats. It measures 16mm long by 9mm wide by 5mm high. Crack-free with a clean back; there is a miniscule spot of clay in the face, and another one on the side. As always, this is an ALL-NATURAL, untreated gemstone.
