    Description

16" NEPHRATIT - Madame Alexander 2009 History of Fashion Collection
Nefertiti, Queen of the Nile and famous beauty, wears a flowing white gown. The high-waisted overdress,
made from a shimmery cotton, has a center front opening, a pleated skirt and elbow length, narrow sleeves.
A separate white soutache braid is worn as a belt. Beneath the dress she wears a v-necked white shift that
has white satin ribbon spaghetti straps. In addition, this majestic, fully articulated, African-American sculpt with brown eyes, wears a queen's ransom in jewelry. Three gold bead bracelets on her left hand and two on the right along with a larger embossed gold bracelet. Her necklace of gold embossed beads is combined with gold seed beads and a gold medallion. Hoop earrings, made from gold embossed beads decorate her ears.
Around her neck she wears a royal beaded collar made from rows of gold embossed bugle beads, red bugle beads, blue bugle beads and lapis lazuli blue scarab beads. In keeping with Egyptian custom, barefoot Nephratiti places her famous blue headdress upon her bald head. The blue headdress, tall and oval shaped,
is trimmed with narrow bands of red, blue, green and gold that encircle the headdress.
