Up for sale is a high quality pair of antique 19th
century
Victorian
gilt bronze figural fireplace andirons/ fender.
The pair is cast out of very thick gilt bronze, have nice weight, and have acquired a lovely patina from age.
They're very
ornately
cast with elaborate detailing and feature two mirror imaged greyhounds laying on intricate bronze plinths.
The crossbar also has a gorgeous traditional Victorian design done in high relief.
The set is in nice used condition and measures 35 1/2 inches long by 13 inches back to front by 16 1/2 inches tall by 11 1/4 inches tall
.
The crossbar does not attach it just rests and has a rough edge as shown in last photo.
